MUUTO Framed Mirrors

The new FRAMED mirror designed by Norway’s Anderssen & Voll for Muuto is suitable for multiple purposes sitting beautifully in the bedroom, living areas and bathrooms. Perfect as a stand alone piece or grouped together as a mirror gallery installation, these mirrors are available in grey, rose and taupe (or silver, copper and bronze).

In the words of Anderssen & Voll : “We wanted to create a mirror that was more than merely a reflective surface. FRAMED is a new perspective to the classic framed mirror; it is a decorative design piece that leads your thoughts to installation art. It adds not only the functionality of a mirror to your home, but with its depth, organic shape and tone-in-tone colour, it is almost perceived as an art object on the wall. The FRAMED mirror can hang beautifully on your walls alone or combined with other sizes and colours.”

Norsu Interiors 2016 Collection

These beautiful photos of norsu interiors 2016 collection campaign styled by Michelle Halford of The Design Chaser were captured by Lisa Cohen.

Images show different interior spaces in norsu‘s signature pastel colour palette, styled with the boutique’s carefully curated collection of Nordic homewares and diverse range of art prints. The collection also features several images shot in a Scandinavian ‘boho luxe’ style, reflecting a new direction norsu is taking since announcing their partnership with iconic Swedish designhouse Love Warriors of Sweden earlier this year.

The release of this collection coincides with the opening of their second Melbourne retail store in Hawthorn next month which will compliment their existing Malvern East store by providing a space to showcase furniture, rugs and art within a styled insitu environment.

Hale Mercantile Co.

Hale Mercantile Co is a new Australian company manufacturing the most stunning collection of luxury European linen lavished in culture, tradition, pride and centuries of craftsmanship.  Designed to be relaxed in nature and truly easy care, their entire range is grown, spun, dyed, woven and sewn in Europe. This beautiful collaboration is the result of the pairing of like-minded Melbourne duo Sharon Patsiotis and Siobhan Beaney.

HMCo’s Philosophy :

In searching for the secret to making superior linen that met our standard for texture, softness, colour and durability it was discovered that a true luxury linen is best made from individually dyed fine linen yarns. Where most linen today is piece dyed in an effort to contain costs, we set out determined to find the perfect yarn which would offer us colour beyond compare. It had to have the ability to maintain the integrity of its colours and it had to have the strength that we yearned for. Fulfilling our desire for quality, our yarns are spun from A grade flax sourced from France. HMCo then sought to find unrivalled craftsmen to weave our linen in true European style.

It was decided to set up a base in our much loved European hide away, Riga where we committed to make our linen as charismatic and endearing as the ancient city itself. We were fortunate enough to find a group of incredibly talented artisans, each one accustomed to producing for the Scandinavian market. Our standard was met!  And so the story goes, our linen was born from the collaboration between divine yarn and brilliant craftsmanship.

It is with great pride that we manufacture a true European linen range lavished in culture, tradition, pride and centuries of craftsmanship. Designed to be relaxed in nature and truly easy care, our entire range is grown, spun, dyed, woven and sewn in Europe.

HMCo . . . “weaving our passion into our products”.

This exquisite range of handcrafted bed linen, table linen as well bathroom & kitchen linen can be viewed via HMCo’s website here. Keep up-to-date with the latest from HMCo on Instagram.

Ferm Living Collection Spring/Summer 2015

Ferm Living have captured such beauty in their latest collection for Spring/Summer 2015.  The pastel pinks & soft greens of the ceramics work in perfect harmony with the pale greys of the concrete pieces and the luxe feel of the metallics add interest and balance to the range.  Inspired by Bauhaus classics using strictly geometric shapes this collection will both captivate and delight.  See it here.
